A single-arm davit is a compact and reliable launching system designed for handling and deploying totally enclosed lifeboats or rescue boats with efficiency and safety. This single arm davit is a freestanding deck mounted davit consisting of a davit arm, column and winch. It is mainly used for lifting and lowering a boat/raft or other types of raft whose lowering load is not more than 25kN.This system uses a single pivoting arm to swing the lifeboat outboard and lower it into the water by gravity or hydraulic power, even when the vessel is heeling up to 20°.
